The Metcon 4 Men’s Cross Training, Weightlifting Shoe provides a strong, stable base, flexible support, and extreme durability for a wide range of training activities, from sprints and sled pushes to lifting and rope climbing. A new textured mesh makes it stronger, lighter, and more durable than any Metcon—ever.

The Nike Metcon 4 is an nice upgrade to my previous demo on the Metcon 3 from last year. Nike has been my standard for much of my running and training shoes over the years until recently with the No Bull and Reebok Nano 8. As with all Nike products, these weight/CrossFit shoes are extremely durable and quality materials. They are built for any and all types of speed, explosive, climbing and strength training. The Heel and mid foot are supported thru the Heel Cup/Counter and Drop In Midsole system along with the Flywire cables keeping the entire foot meshed in a web of protection in movement. The additional eyelet from 5 to 6, give you’re a custom precise lacing fit providing optimal support. The textured rubber surface grips a multitude of surface reducing slippage on floors/pavements and rope climbing and is temperature/friction resistant. Low profile design to optimize power lift and explosive movement without altering biomechanics of the foot. The My forefoot has been a problem of sensitive irritation and the cushioned tongue decrease pressure on that area. The breathability of the shoe is excellent and provided adequate air flow with the mesh material. The $130 price tag is reasonably priced with comparative CrossFit shoes. I do feel Toe box has too much movement for my foot. The Metcon is not designed for long runs, but short distances and sprints. The Nike Metcon 4 is a quality and durable CrossFit shoe that will perform and protect your foot on all surfaces for a comparable price.
