The Course Air Lite, the reference in road cycling shoes, returns in 2018 in a stiffer version that adapts to all foot types. The new stiff Power Zone system covers the central part of the shoe, which wraps the foot to eliminate any movement when you are pulling on the pedals.

LOUIS GARNEAU COURSE AIR LITE II

It has been over 4 years since my last Louis Garneau shoe experience and I was excited to demo one of their top products called the Course Air Lite II which one a recent award and the Eurobike for his X-Comfort technology. The shoes have an updated arch support system and minimal stack weight for an impressive power transfer. The X-Comfort Zone gives the rider a dynamic and non-compressive feel in that Toe box. This non-compression allows the foot to be in its more natural state increasing proper biomechanics that maximizes power transfer while pedaling. Air II version is slightly stiffer than the previous version for the Carbon Air Lite outsole. A proper arch support is essential to not only maximizes dynamics while in motion but also protects the foot. The Power Zone wraps the foot and designed to give the foot optimum performance, elimination movement while reducing injury overtime. Air Lite II has an impressive ventilation system to maintain comfort along with a lace woven system for increased aerodynamics and durability. I prefer the Dual Boa system in my current shoes and the micro adjusting customization of the Air II make this shoe incredibly comfortable and gives you the perfect dialed in fit. The heel is locked in place via the HRS-400 injected nylon system elimination heel movement even when acceleration or climbing hills. The shoe is lightweight and weighs a mire 235 grams at 42. The Concourse Air II is reasonably priced for around $369 which is comparable to other top-quality pro level shoes. Overall, the Louis Garneau Course Air Lite II to shoe is a high performance and comfortable pro level shoe that is reasonably priced.
